Male Senior Golf Pros

Born in 1904 and living to the ripe old age of 96, Harry Cooper won 31 tours, none of which were in the majors.

Seemingly proving you can play the game well into your senior years, he taught at the Westchester Country Club until he was 93. This was after he had taught lessons in New York for 26 years. His greatest achievements were winning the Vardon trophy in 1937 and being a Golfing World Hall of Famer.

Considered one of the greatest of golfers was Ben Hogan 1912-1997. He was famous for his golf swing theory and legendary ball striking ability. 64 tour wins and 9 major championships are credited to his name, after turning pro at the young age of 17.

In 1932 he won his first tour event, and with it the grand sum of $8:50, going on to win 63 pro tournaments, despite having survived a near fatal accident in 1949 in Texas involving a Greyhound bus. He too is a Hall of Fame member, and won the Vardon Trophy 3 times. There was a range of golf clubs which bore his name, regarded as some of the best clubs available for some years.

Another member of the Hall of Fame was Tommy Bolt. He was renowned for his short temper on the green, so gained the nicknames of Thunder or Terrible Tommy. He was born in 1918, and played golf into his eighties, after winning 15 tours, and one major in 1958. Twice he was chosen for the Ryder Cup team, he won the PGA Seniors in 1969, and was instrument in the changeover of the Senior PGA into the Champion Tour.

Cary Middlecoff 1921-1998 won 40 pro tournaments, and won the Vardy Trophy in 1956 for the lowest scoring average. Between 1953 and 1959 he played in 3 Ryder Cup teams and was a World Hall of Fame member and in the Tennessee Sports Hall.

Before joining the PGA, Cary was a dentist by profession, later becoming one of the early television commentators for golf, and he also wrote a golfing book called the golf swing. Entering the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1990 at the age of 60, Gene Littler played in the 1953 United States Walker Cup team, and won the U.S. Amateur Championship in the same year. After losing form for 4 years, in 1959 he came back to win 5 PGA tours, making a total of 29 PGA tour wins. He also won tournaments in Japan, and one in Australia.

In 1972 he had cancer of the lymph system, but recovered to win the PGA 5 more times to be voted Comeback player of the year in 1973. These Male Senior Golf Pro's  enjoyed great success in the Vardon trophy, Ryder Cup, PGA Seniors, Tennessee Sports Hall, United States Walker Cup team, and/or the U.S. Amateur Championship. Your name could join this list too with practice and dedication, or you may never get to play as a pro, but anyone can get paid to play golf, and earn up to $200 a day, stay in the clubs hotel for free, get free dinners and enjoy all the comforts of the best hotels when you know the secret.
