Golf Clubs For Seniors

As you age, your muscles weaken so your strength gradually declines, your joints, bones and spine lack flexibility, leading among other things to poor balance, so you may like to consider changing your clubs to regain your distance.

Look for clubs with different flexing in the shaft. Flexing of the shaft allows the club to bend slightly with the swing.

Choosing the wrong flex for your needs will effect the calculation of your swing.

The older you are, the more flex you may need.

Choose from a ladies flex or a senior flex rather than a stiff or extra stiff flex.

The pro shop should carry a decent range of clubs, and testing a variety on the range is the best advice to get the club most suited to your needs.

Adams, Callaway, Nike and Wedgwood are among the leading makers of golf clubs for seniors, or you may consider having a club custom made for you.

Again, the pro shop can help you with this. Cloned clubs are another option, and paying for an expensive club or a discounted club should come secondary to your choice of flex, as it is this which will give you improved distance.

A cautionary point to note with a discounted club is the durability, as some of these have been known to loosen up with use causing a softer flex for your true needs.

Whatever you do, take your time in your selection process, as there are so many options to consider. Web sites of the manufacturers can help you a lot in your selection process. Check them out before approaching your pro shop, then you should have a good short list of Golf Clubs for Seniors, Cloned clubs, discounted clubs, choice of flex, ladies flex, senior flex, and extra stiff flex to try out on the driving range.
